MACC is supplying low-loss 22/0.4 kV distribution transformers to the Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authority for the Gaza Strip electricity network, under a World Bank-funded contract signed on 20 June 2023.
MACC is working with the Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authority (PENRA) on the supply of distribution transformers for the Gaza Strip electricity network. The contract (GZ-PENRA-331713-GO-RFB), signed on 20 June 2023 under the World Bank-funded ASPIRE-II project, initially covered 30 transformers.
The transformers are low-loss, three-phase 22/0.4 kV units from 400 to 1,250 kVA, supplied with factory inspection reports and inland transportation. They will strengthen PENRA's power distribution network and improve the reliability of supply to consumers.
The contract was later increased by addendum to 59 transformers: 14 indoor units of 1,250 kVA and 45 outdoor units of 800, 630 and 400 kVA.
